Ms. Malone’s 3rd Grade
Office Hours: M-F from 1:00 - 3:00 until May 22, 2020
As we end the school year, we want to continue to be safe so we are still a closed campus. We are asking you to drive through the upper grades car pickup line where you will be handed your child/children’s materials that they left at school, if any. Please email me at email@example.com or Dojo me to let me know the grades of the other student’s materials you will be picking up. You must come during the youngest child’s time to get everything. For example, if you have a child in 2nd and one in 4th you must let us (me and their 2nd grade teacher) know that you will be picking up the 4th grader’s materials on Tuesday between 12:30 and 2:30.
This is also the time for you to RETURN any AR/library books, Chrome books and chargers, World’s Finest Chocolate money, and anything else that belongs to Jack Hayes Elementary or your child’s teacher. We will have a list of who still has what.
SCHEDULE for student material pick up and returns to Jack Hayes

Google Account and Google Classroom
Open a web browser and then sign in to your Google Account by typing myaccount.google.com into the address bar.
Your EMAIL/PHONE NUMBER is your AR number followed by @opsb.info
Your PASSWORD is the first letter of your first name, the first 3 letters of your last name, and then @ and the last 4 digits of your social security number.
Example: Jane Doe jdoe@9587
To see your Google Classroom icon once you are logged in, click on the apps launcher – that little 3 x 3 array of dots called the “waffle” at the top right corner. Then just click on the Google Classroom icon and go to subject-specific class!
To access i-Ready on a computer you will go to the website:
On a tablet or iPad, you will download the “i-Ready for students” app
The username is the first letter of their first name + the first letter of last name + their student number (or most of them know it as their AR number - it is a 7-digit number). The password is just their AR number again. The state is Louisiana.
For example, a student named Jane Doe with student number 1234567 would log in as shown below:
LEAP Practice Tests
Practice tests allow students to become familiar with the testing format and respond to some of the types of questions they may find on the LEAP 2025 tests. We did not get to go over the LEAP practice tests at school this year. If you would like to explore it with your child on your own, please go to our Parent Resources page and find the state-provided Parent Guide to the LEAP 2025 Practice Tests.
We started using this program at school and the kids love it! I sent all parents who had signed up for Dojo a message to get Epic! at home for FREE until June 30. All you had to do was send me your home email.
If you have not signed up for Dojo, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I can send you a code to sign up AND at the same time send the Epic! invitation.
As always, thank you for being supportive parents AND students! We’re all in this together… but apart.
