Mr. Hall’s Third Grade 

(Check-out Update – Students in the 3^rd & 4^th grade will be checking out on Wed., May 20 @ 9:00-11:00. Any students with sibling in other grade levels can check out at the same time. Hello Parents,

My teacher contact hours are Mon. – Fri. from 12:00- 2:00 p.m. If you need to contact me, my e-mail address is calvinhall@opsb.net. Some students will be able to contact me using the Zoom App. if they have access. Assignments for Social Studies and ELA will start being posted on the daily schedule calendar on 4-20-20.  These assignments will be for possible bonus points. We will be using Social Studies Weekly and I-Ready as our assignment resources. Any information needed will be posted on my teacher page for your access. If you have any questions please e-mail me during the contact hours listed. I will contact you as soon as possible to answer an any  questions you may have. I hope everyone stays safe during this time and continue to learn using the resources that they have available.

Reading & Social Studies Assignments

Reading and Social Studies assignments will be posted on the Jack Hayes Teacher page every Monday on a Weekly basis. All assignment will be due by Friday of that week. The assignments will have all materials needed to complete them posted on the Daily Schedule Page. Students assignments will be graded on a weekly basis based on (1. Completeness of work, and (2. Quality of work- Score or % correct. At the end of the four weeks all assignments will be checked based on these steps to see how many bonus points are earned out of 100%.

Reading Assignment

Each week for 4 weeks, you will complete your next two iReady reading lessons and quizzes to recieve bonus points.

Social Studies

Google Classroom will not be used to take quiz test. We will continue to take test on site and  turn answers in by email !!!

The Social Studies assignments will be listed on the Daily Schedule page . The Educational Websites listing on the Teacher webpage will take directly to the Grade 3 Louisiana Social Studies Weekly assignments. Google Classroom will be used to access Louisiana Social Studies Weekly Quiz activities. (Google classroom update in progress. Assignments are not due until Friday.)

I-Ready

1. i-Ready Website: login.i-ready.com or iphone, tablet, or i-Pad, download the “i-ready for students app.

2. Username = first letter of their first and last name + their student # or AR #.  Password = AR Number or Student # State Listing = Louisiana    ( AR # is 7 digits)

LDOE LEAP 2025 Practice Tests:  Practice tests allow students to become familiar with the testing format and respond to some of the types of questions they may find on the LEAP 2025 tests. We did not get to go over the LEAP practice tests at school this year.
